We took a bus ride from the school to old ford factory the
bus ride is about 30 minutes.
When we reach old ford factory we went to see a video clip
about 15-25 minutes long . However from the video we learn about how Japanese
made Singapore suffer in the past .
After that , miss tan gave us some time to find out more
about world war two . We were all very excited
We learned that during world war two the price of basic
necessities increased by leap and bounds . for instance , the price of the
ricewas used to be sold at $4 per kg but during world war 2 it was sold as $12
per kg . most things were triple of the original price .It was hard to put food
on the table because food was very expensive and the best quality was given to
the Japanese. The Chinese suffered most as they actively helped china
in the fight against japan .
"Banana Money" it means useless money . people
went shopping with bags of banana notes.

about 10 minutes to reach bukit chandu . when we reach bukit chandu we had to
climb stairsto reach the entrance of the muesuem . at the entrance of the
muesuem we saw 3 statues
It was stated that Japanese took revenge of people who
lived there and killed around 200 people !
We continued exploring , then , we found out that pasir
panjang wa one of the fiercest battles that took place in singapore during
world war 2.
After which we found out that Lt. Adnan Bin Saidi
and his troop of 42 men that had guarded Pasir Panjang Ridge.
lt. Adnan Bin Saidi
Lt. Adnan Bin Saidi was the leader of the brigade .
he fought together with his men to the
death of Japanese . this shows that he is very loyal to singapore as he did
not surrender half way the fight .
